Meet our VP Strategic Finance Projects – Lasse Johansen

Tell us about your background

My name is Lasse Johansen, a former state authorized public accountant from Tromsø, Norway. Did my studies in accounting and finance at Curtin University of Technology and the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). I kick-started my career in the accounting firm PWC before I came to Aker BioMarine in 2014. Have always had an entrepreneurial mindset mixed with finance and compliance.

Tell us about your job and your career journey in AKBM

When I first came to Aker BioMarine I started as a Group Controller. Left for one year in 2016 to be the CFO of Norway’s oldest retailer. Came back to the mothership to serve as the VP of Finance. After five years with financial reporting I now work on a wide range of projects from operations to finance to new business opportunities.

Why do you like working here and why do you stay?

Great colleagues from around the world that I consider friends. In any situation we stand shoulder to shoulder solving big problems. One year in Aker BioMarine is like 5 years in any other company regardless of industry and size.
