Production Operator I

The Production Operator performs all aspects of the Production process, including material handling, equipment operations, equipment minimal maintenance, process monitoring, quality control, and various support activities.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Maintains a safe and clean working environment and ensures that equipment is maintained in good operating condition and follows proper safety procedures before operations.
. Operate process equipment including but not limited to valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.
· Perform process rounds and collect operating parameter data, raise awareness of conditions that are outside of expected ranges
· Investigate and troubleshoot abnormal conditions or equipment malfunctions
· Collect and analyze in-process samples; collaborate with Quality Control to ensure product specifications are met.
· Record data during operation of production line, including reporting all waste.
· Follows the production operations via screen (User Interface system).
· Responsible for completion of production documents (work order WO, weights, self-checks, etc.)
· Capable of using and reading measuring equipment as required.
· Implements the right raw material (name, code, and batch) with the adequate quantity (according to WO and Production Lead).
· Makes sure the samples are according to internal Safety Operating procedure (SOP) and works closely with QC (Quality Control) to assure conformity of product to customer requirements.
· Run plant equipment (chemical reactor, evaporation/distillation, filtration, vacuum and heated based system)
· Monitor plant equipment using flowmeters, panel lights, gauges, valves, to make sure it is operating safely and efficiently
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Familiarity with GMP, SOP, and batch manufacturing operations (nutraceutical or food/pharma experience preferred)
· Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, batch records, and technical documents
· Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills
· Willingness to work around chemicals including acids, bases, and alcohols (e.g., ethanol)
· Forklift operation experience
Education Requirements:
· Associate degree in Process Technology or related technical field (Required)
· 1–3 years of production or chemical processing experience in a manufacturing environment
· Basic understanding of chemistry and physics principles
· Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
· Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel)
· Experience within a PSM-covered process preferred
· Self-starter with a strong focus on safety and quality.
· Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
· Knowledge of handling to chemical handling
Physical Requirement:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
