Electrician

Electrician installs, maintains, troubles, and repairs electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment systems to ensure safe and efficient functionality of plant equipment. Electricians assist other plant personnel as required to meet plant targets and deadlines.  

• Measures, cuts, and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical components such as panels, switches, and lighting

• Perform preventative maintenance on a range of equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic components

• Diagnose failures, replaces parts on items like motors, transformers, panels

• Installs safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)

• Interprets blueprints / manuals and resolves complex electrical and electronic control system problems

• Prepares and assemble conduits / wiring as required

• Performs and coordinates Infrared Scans

• Works with industrial control systems, networking, programming of PLCs, and automation systems

 Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Complies with GMP, HACCP, FDA, MSC, SQF, Environmental, and other relevant regulatory standards

• Follows local, state, and national electrical codes and company safety protocols

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to act effectively as a team member at site to problem solve

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement

• Experience with the current NEC Code

Qualifications:

• Texas Journeyman Electrician License

• Experience in industrial electrical systems

• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints

• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

• Excellent thinking and problem-solving ability

• Willing to work shifts if required and overtime
