About the Role:
Aker BioMarine seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our R&D team in Ski for a 50% role.
The role involves laboratory research trials, process and microbial trials, and reporting of results. This is a good opportunity for e.g. students looking for a part time relevant entry-level job in the interphase of basic research and process development, within the growing protein hydrolysis industry.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Executing research trials, process analysis, and microbiological analysis.
- Reporting results in pre-made forms (e.g., Excel sheets).
- Maintaining laboratory equipment according to pre-made protocols.
- Surveying pre-determined amounts of important consumables availability, or else aiding in ordering the consumables.
Formal Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, or similar. Experience is preferred but not required; personal qualities combined with the right background are paramount.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Additional Information:
- Great flexibility in work hours, possible to combine this position with studies or other responsibilities.
- Very relevant industry entry-level work for e.g. master students.
Professional Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a background in biotechnology, or a related field, with proven laboratory experience. Familiarity with analytical techniques and a thorough understanding of scientific research methodologies is essential.
